JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Supervisor is primarily responsible for coordinating production scheduling with Supervisors and Planners; managing staffing levels to meet schedule requirements; supporting production operations and personnel; applying Lean manufacturing principles to improve cost, quality, safety, and delivery of products; and coordinating internal operations with other functional departments.Current expectation is to work a 4/10 work week (Monday-Thursday); however the selected candidate must be able to adjust to a flexible work schedule as needed.JOB DUTIES:Assure Manufacturing Order Efficiency:Track hour-by-hour performance, standard vs. actual labor performance, and operation dispatch management to support production schedule attainment. Provide timely feedback to the shop floor and maintain accurate product costing.Execute Production Plans:Partner with Supervisors and Planners to provide accurate capability parameters and ensure production has the necessary capacity and resources to efficiently meet the production schedule.Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles:Improve yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing processes through standard work, eliminating non-value-added activities and waste to minimize cost variance and improve profitability. Document Standard Work with work instructions/method layouts and ensure validity.Maintain Accurate Work Documentation:Coordinate with production engineering to analyze and maintain proper labor standards as design, components, equipment, and processes change for new and existing products. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality.Identify and Define Staffing Needs:Coordinate with Supervisors and Human Resources/Talent Acquisition to recruit and fill open positions. Ensure proper On-Boarding and training to maintain production capacity and capability.Manage Scrap Tracking and Inventory:Oversee scrap tracking, adjustments, cycle count, order close, and ensure proper physical handling and system management procedures to maintain accurate inventories.Provide Timely Communication and Coordination:Ensure proper decision-making and obtain needed support through effective communication within manufacturing and with other functional departments. Be available "on call" and work extra hours as needed for priority situations.Ensure Safety and Compliance:Enforce PPE and work safety policy requirements. Ensure Supervisor Investigation Reports are accurate and 5 Why problem-solving is complete to maintain a safe working environment.YOU MUST HAVE:10 years of experience OR a bachelor's degree in a related field (Production, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.) and 6 years of experience.2 years of supervisory/lead experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; working ERP system experience preferred.WE VALUE:Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma belts or ISO certifications.Working experience in a Union plant environment preferred.The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.The ability to apply good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority.The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical and diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.The ability to present information and respond to questions from various internal stakeholders.Identifying and resolving problems timely, gathering and analyzing information skillfully, and maintaining necessary communication.The ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:The opportunity for career growth in an ISO standardized manufacturing plant!Resideo provides comprehensive benefits, including life and health insurance, life assistance program, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, disability insurance, 401k Plan, vacation & holidays.This position is not eligible for S visa sponsorship.#LI-TD1#LI-ONSITEABOUT USResideo is a leading global provider of critical comfort and security solutions primarily in residential environments and distributor of low-voltage electronic and security products.
