We have an opportunity for a Manager, Security Operations Center to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will be responsible for leading and managing the SOC team, overseeing all operational activities related to monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to potential security threats. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices, as well as excellent management and communication skills. You will: Lead and manage the SOC team, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff to ensure a high-performing and skilled team. Develop and implement strategies for the continuous monitoring and analysis of system and network activities to identify suspicious behavior and potential security threats. Oversee the management of security incidents and events, from initial detection through final resolution, ensuring timely and effective responses to mitigate risks. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture, including IT teams, senior management, and external security partners and vendors. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security threats, trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating this knowledge into SOC operations and the broader security strategy. Develop and enforce SOC policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure operational consistency and effectiveness. Manage the SOC's tools and technologies, ensuring they are effectively utilized to maximize security monitoring and incident response capabilities. Prepare and present regular reports on SOC activities, incident response outcomes, and security posture improvements to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master's degree or cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GCIH) are highly desirable. Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a SOC or similar environment. Proven track record of managing security incidents, threat analysis, and incident response teams. Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, technologies, and best practices. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with a variety of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions related to security incident response.
