Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Golden Valley, Minnesota

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the IT Software industry, located in Golden Valley, Minnesota. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be in charge of managing payroll operations, ensuring the accuracy of employee data in our systems, and reconciling payroll data.

Responsibilities:

• Handling all aspects of payroll processing for a bi-weekly cycle, including exempt and non-exempt employees

• Transitioning payroll systems from Oracle to JDE, ensuring all data is accurately migrated and ties out with the previous system

• Replicating payrolls for record-keeping purposes to ensure that W2 checks out for the next year

• Administering the Para gov pension plan and providing necessary reconciliation

• Coordinating with JDE experts for system-related assistance

• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems and ADP Workforce Now for financial services

• Performing auditing and accounting functions as needed

• Administering 401k - RRSP and managing related benefit functions

• Utilizing Ceridian and Dayforce for HR and payroll functions

• Managing the About Time software for efficient time tracking and payroll processing. Requirements • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services for payroll processing

• Demonstrated ability to effectively use ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with Ceridian payroll software

• Experience with Dayforce for payroll and HR management

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Proficiency in using About Time software

• Solid understanding of general Accounting Functions

• Strong auditing skills, with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies

• Experience with Benefit Functions, including administration and processing
