JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Engineer at Resideo you will support the development, deployment & the continuous improvement of the Resideo strategy for Health, Safety and Environmental for the Golden Valley manufacturing plant. The role will cover all elements of HSE including, program development, training, coaching, auditing, reporting, and promoting HSE improvements. If you are a driven, independent, experienced self-starter we are looking for you to join our team!JOB DUTIES:Working with various environmental regulatory programs such as hazardous waste (RCRA), emergency planning/Right-to-Know (EPCRA), oil pollution prevention (SPCC), Storm Water & Wastewater (CWA), air emissions (CAA), Sustainability.Working with various health and safety programs such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), line breaking, confined space, fall protection, machine safeguarding, electrical safety, respiratory protection, hazardous chemical management, hearing conservation, etc.Ensure the delivery of targeted, timely, and effective HSE training to key stakeholders at the Resideo Golden Valley plant.Ensure compliance with both the Resideo HSEMS and regulatory requirements, including reporting obligations.Monitor emerging HSE regulations that could impact plant operations, summarize the potential impacts, and identify actions required to respond to, or prepare for the identified impacts.Interact and interface with various regulating entities, including but not limited to USEPA, MPCA, Hennepin County Environmental Services, City of Golden Valley, MDH, and MN OSHA.Continuously improve the common operating systems and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Resideo HSE Management System (HSEMS) programs.Work with corporate HSE team to support its auditing program relating to HSE and sustainability, including site visits and independent compliance audits.Deliver on the strategy deployment process with supporting analytics for collating and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).Support risk-related management as they relate to insurance coverage requirements, improvements and other activity designed to ensure appropriate coverage at the Golden Valley plant.Assist in providing direction, oversight, and guidance for all aspects of HSE at the Golden Valley plant, including HSE initiatives, Management system standards, as well as locally appropriate HSE regulatory compliance.YOU MUST HAVE:Bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering, or a similar field of study.5 years of HSE professional experience.HSE compliance and management systems experience.WE VALUE:Extensive experience in delivering & continually improving HSE Services while demonstrating progressive leadership.Experience implementing ISO 14001 or equivalent certified management systems.Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.The ability to influence with demonstrated communication skills to convey information with clarity and directness.Able to consistently make timely decisions, even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:The opportunity to own and grow the HSE program at a legacy manufacturing plant with a large footprint.
