In this role, you will collaborate with various engineers to design and develop PCBs for low-cost, high-volume IoT products. The ideal candidate should have prior layout experience and be familiar with various aspects of PCB design, including high-speed digital, multi-layer rigid PCBs, DFM, and RF wireless. Additionally, the candidate should understand PCB layout rules and constraints and help our company's follow PCB technology advancements.Job DutiesResponsibility for building new PCB designs from the ground up using industry-standard ECAD tools, such as Mentor Expedition.Perform component placement, trace routing, analysis, verification, and related tasks on both new and existing PCB designs.Generate fabrication drawings, parts lists, and bills of materials for printed circuit board assemblies.Develop efficient processes for exchanging design information across electrical and mechanical tools.Work closely with a cross-functional team comprising electrical and mechanical engineers, project managers, DFM engineers, factory personnel, and project technical leaders.You Must HaveExperience with electronics, electrical engineering, and/or related disciplines.Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design.We ValueFamiliarity with Mentor Expedition tools.Good technical understanding of high-speed signal PCB layout rules (DDR, PCIe, USB, SDIO, Ethernet, etc.).Solid understanding and experience in multilayer PCB design.Prior experience with PCBs containing RF aspects such as Wi-Fi, BLE, and sub-GHz.Experience with ECAD library (generating symbols, footprints, and parameters).Good communication and cooperation skills.DFM and DFT experience.What's In It for YouWork in a Hybrid setting (3 days in office, 2 days remote)Enjoy work-life balance with generous vacation time that can be scheduled with manager approval based on business priorities and personal needs, without pre-set maximums.Immediate eligibility for Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and 401K.ABOUT USResideo is a leading global provider of critical comfort and security solutions primarily in residential environments and distributor of low-voltage electronic and security products.
