POSITION DESCRIPTION
RESIDENTIAL EDUCATION RESPONSIBLITIES
Support the check-in and checkout process for summer housing
Supervise summer desk staff
Work closely with RHA Intern(s) on training development
Coordinate summer programming for apartment and residence halls communities
Work closely with 1-2 Residence Hall Association Interns
Oversee summer projects including but not limited to:
Developing RA and RLC implementation resources for Residential Learning Model (RLM)
Reviewing assessment data and developing recommendations for collaborations with campus partners, etc.
Working closely on the following committees: Recruitment & Selection and Training & Development
CAMPUS COORDINATION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in departmental goals and strategies based on personal passion and/or experience. These can include developing web design, social media or marketing initiatives, digital signage, developing campus wellness programs, program creation, diversity and social justice activism, or alcohol & other drug substance abuse education for students
Work with campus partners to learn about specialized topics of interest and engage with student affairs professionals in a variety of roles
Opportunity to work with our NODA intern in learning about transition, retention, and orientation at Colorado School of Mines
Responsibilities surrounding administrative responsibilities are subject to adjust based on Residence Life ACUHO-I Intern and Housing Ops ACUHO-I Intern's specific interests
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn more about technology used at Colorado School of Mines, including StarRez, ERezlife, and Famis.
Communicate heavily with campus partners and Residence Life staff through emails, presentations at trainings, and reports throughout the summer
Create deliverables based on your areas of passion and/or experience that are accessible for future staff at Mines (ex. Desk Staff Training Guide, Residence Life Handbook changes, etc.)
