POSITION TITLE: Caregiver

DUTIES: -Assist clients with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed baths, oral care, hair and skin care. -Assist clients in the use of toilet facilities, including bed pans. -Assist clients in and out of bed with transfer using walker, wheelchair or other device not requiring any lifting and transfer assistance only. -Assist clients with walking, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs, when applicable. -Assist and prompt clients with self-administration of medications. -Meal preparation and feeding, snacks when required. -Record and report changes in the client's physical condition, behavior or appearance to supervisor or Case Coordinator. -Documenting services delivered in accordance with FirstLight Home Care policies and procedures. -Provide companionship to client. -Provide grooming and dressing guidance. -Provide light housekeeping. -Provide laundry and linen service to include washing, ironing and folding clothes. -Provide shopping service to client to include grocery and clothes shopping. -Provide incidental transportation for client which includes visits to doctor appointments, friends, family members, or stores. -Provide assistance and planning of client's recreational activities and events.

SKILLS REQUIRED: -Possess undeniable integrity -Possess the desire to care for our community -Driver's license required in order to transport clients -Must pass background check -Must pass drug screening

PREFERRED SKILLS: -CNA Certification (can provide training and classes through local technical college, if not) -1-2 years experience preferred, but not required

WAGE: $19.00 per hour.

SHIFTS: Part-time - 20-40 hours per week Hours: 8am-5pm, 12pm-9pm

JOB SITE: Parachute, Rifle, Silt, and Glenwood Springs. Various in home/assisted living facility locations throughout Garfield County.
