Description

Shelby Manufacturing, a Bunzl company, is now hiring for a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the warehouse building, facilities, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment

• Order parts and cleaning supplies

• Build new equipment and tables as needed

• Calibrate machinery as needed

• Sprinkler alarm testing

• Turn on air compressor each day

• Turn on exhaust fan in drying room each day

• Put out the flag each day

• Open door for garbage men

• Turn on heater in the winter

• Turn on AC in the summer

• Prepare company required reports on preventive maintenance and safety inspections.

• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Maintain company tools and maintenance related items in an orderly fashion. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards while performing all duties.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or Equivalent; Technical training preferred

• Experience as a maintenance tech or similar position preferred

• Some warehousing equipment maintenance and repair experience is preferred.

• Mechanical, and maintenance, and repair procedures; HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic theory; Safe work practices,

• Must have the ability to lift at least 65lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations

• Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment on a regular basis

• Ability to handle multiple tasks is a must

• Must be able to work 6:30am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs, and 6:30am-11am Friday

• Ability to work overtime, on-call as needed
