FULLY REMOTE Project Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with experience in SALDO, stormwater management, and a PE license (flexibility on this requirement). The ideal candidate will oversee the production of efficient and feasible grading and drainage designs, stormwater management (SWM) designs, and erosion control (E&S) designs. The role also involves assisting less-experienced members of the Engineering Department and supporting the Project Manager with various tasks.
Responsibilities
Perform review of Zoning, SALDO, and other agency ordinances/regulations as applicable to a given project.
Evaluate conceptual layout plans prepared by the CAD Department to minimize regulatory burden and reduce construction costs/timing.
Independently prepare Preliminary Grading Plans and SWM Due Diligence Summaries per published company standards.
Prepare grading and SWM designs, establishing an overall strategy that balances permitting requirements, project objectives, budgetary constraints, and ease of construction/maintenance.
Prepare Scope of Work documents for infiltration testing to direct Geotech consultants.
Prepare E&S design calculations, plans, details, and reports, delegating tasks to less-experienced staff where beneficial.
Prepare SWM/E&S design calculations, delegating tasks to less-experienced staff where beneficial.
Independently complete SWM/E&S Reports and appendices using company templates.
Identify and document all necessary waivers and variances related to SWM, grading, and drainage, preparing draft justifications for review and approval by the Project Manager.
Enforce published company standards for CAD-generated deliverables related to SWM and E&S design, taking ownership of final output of Grading Plans, Drainage Plans, E&S Plans, and associated profiles, details, and notes sheets.
Review earthwork calculations performed by the project team.

This is a 100% remote position.
Our projects are primarily located in the eastern half of Pennsylvania, as well as central and southern New Jersey.
We serve private sector real estate development companies and self-developing end users, working across a wide variety of market sectors.
We thrive on projects with substantial site design and storm water design/permitting needs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $150000.00/hr.
