The ACO is a provider-led organization that strives to ensure a future of expanded medical access with lower costs, improved efficiency and outcomes, increased patient and provider satisfaction, and overall high quality of care.AHI and the Adirondacks ACO are seeking a Program Performance Analyst to join our team.The Program Performance Analyst will be part of Adirondack Health Institute (“AHI”) and the Adirondack ACO’s (“ACO”) integrated data analytics team, working collaboratively with analytics team members, finance staff, and the Director of Clinical Quality Improvement to support financial outcomes, value-based payment initiatives, and strategic decision-making. This individual will work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring business, quality, and performance data are reliable and available.Responsibilities of the Program Performance Analyst include:Assisting in the development of evaluation tools and analytic methods relevant to assessing ACO value-based payments. *Developing monitoring tools to evaluate payer program performance that incorporates the nuanced ways in which each program is currently performing.Analyzing healthcare financial and quality measurement data, interpreting results, and preparing reports and presentations regarding program performance.Contributing to payer program discussions around the implications and forecasting associated with the program’s financial and quality results by presenting reports and other analytical work products.Supporting payer contracts with analyses, insights, and recommendations that help to ensure program benchmarks and financial terms are reasonable and accurate.Performing deep dive analyses and investigations of program performance, quality, and financial operations to show the current status of the payer program. *Appropriately embedding internal and external benchmarking, opportunity analysis, predictive modeling, data mining and decision support in all approaches.Developing tools that enable providers, ACO Leadership, Board, Committees, etc., to understand the ACO’s financial and quality performance by payer program and the financial benefit available if quality improvement actions are implemented. Performing advanced analyses in collaboration with finance and analytics team members.Education: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in data analytics, biostatistics, finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Experience: *A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in designing, producing, and interpreting financial and quality improvement analytical outputs, preferably in a health care setting. *Knowledge of healthcare and health plan systems and of key performance indicators used in healthcare finance, quality improvement, and value-based contracting. *Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills for data analysis and modeling.Expertise working with Excel, SQL, R, Python, and/or Power BI.Experience working in a relational database environment. Preferred Experience:Expertise in hospital and provider billing, claims/revenue information, and population-based care management approaches. *Knowledge of complex financial and operational aspects of health care reform, trend analysis, data analysis, and payment reform. Other Skills: Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting information to large and small groups. Demonstrated capability to quickly learn and use a variety of software and web-based systems is required. Candidates must have the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is a must, as is the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Other Requirements: The Program Performance Analyst will have the ability to work out of the AHI office in Glens Falls or the ACO office in Plattsburgh. This individual will have the ability to work remotely, however, must have the ability to travel as required. Travel is primarily during the business day throughout the AHI and Adirondacks ACO service area. Occasional overnight travel possible. Functions include but are not limited to: must be able to write and speak clearly using the English language to convey information; hear at normal speaking levels in both person and over the telephone; walk or stand; use fingers and hands to feel objects; remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
