Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The HR Business Partner will be personally responsible for an array of key areas and assigned client groups. The incumbent will primarily drive Employee Engagement, Change Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Performance Management and Recruitment/Selection. The HR Business Partner will also be called upon to participate in or lead a variety of functional and cross-functional projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for our company culture. Ensure culture is central in the choices made ensuring the advice HR provides to the company maintains a culture of accountability and trust.

  • Partner and consult with leadership and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to influence and facilitate the development of their organizational priorities and related change initiatives.

  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, talent review, and performance management activities to ensure we are continuously equipped to deliver against our business objectives.

  • Serves as a competent and trusted consultant and advisor to managers, supervisors and associates.

  • Assist with identifying trends and proactively recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and the employee experience.

  • Anticipate and pre-empt associates issues/concerns. Directly handle and guide resolution in a collaborative matter on variety of complex employee relations matters including disciplinary actions and investigations.

  • Proactively participate and lead local communication/engagement plans aimed at optimizing employee engagement (e.g., Voice of Associate Survey) and creating a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Advise on promotion recommendations interpreting internal and external compensation data.

  • Organize, plan, and conduct manager/associate training and development.

  • Be a visible presence with client groups by engaging in client group work areas/space.

  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance with company.

  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and general human resource administration.

  • Support annual HR-driven year-end processes (merit, bonus, etc.).

  • Other related HR duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of exempt-level Human Resources Generalist experience preferred, in a majority of the functional areas described in a manufacturing, production, distribution or related environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in HR Management, Business Administration or related field.

  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Possesses personal credibility as embodied by proven track record of success, able to instill confidence in others, able to provide candid observations and alternative insights on organizational issues.

  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.

  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity.

  • Analytical skills: ability to navigate numerical data, sees trends, and draws conclusions.

  • HRIS or Workday familiarity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR/SHRM-CP Certification.

  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment.

  • Ability to see the big picture and execute at the detail level.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Learning agility.

  • Focused on achieving defined results and exceeding goals and objectives.

  • Ability to bring out other people’s potential and talents.

  • Strong customer service background.

  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change.

  • The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves."

  • Use skills gained as an experienced professional, works on resolving a wide range of issues within team/department in imaginative as well as practical ways.

  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.

$97,700.00 - $161,100.00 USD Annual
