Description
Performs daily operation and maintenance functions (heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, etc.) for the various building facilities and systems; and grounds for WBI Energy, Inc. to provide a safe and comfortable working environment for all employees. Assists with repairs to the mechanical equipment. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
Building Maintenance Assistant I ($23.83 - $29.78/hour) - High school equivalency; and
- Basic knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical and plumbing, all phases of boiler operations; experience with commercial a/c units normally acquired through two years' experience working on HVAC equipment or completion of a HVAC technical training course; and possession of a refrigerant handling certification for commercial equipment.
Building Maintenance Assistant II ($26.68 - $33.36 /hour)
- High school equivalency; and
- A working knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical and plumbing, all phases of boiler operations; experience with commercial a/c units; basic knowledge of building automation systems normally acquired through four years' experience working on HVAC equipment or completion of a HVAC technical training course; and possession of a refrigerant handling certification for commercial equipment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS |
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be available to respond to emergency calls after-hours and on weekends.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a low-pressure boilers license within 6 months of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS |
- Associates degree in applied science with emphasis on heating and air conditioning (HVAC).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and functions (heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, etc.) for the various building facilities, systems and grounds.
- Works with the Building & Grounds Supervisor to request estimates, schedule and coordinate outside contractors required for maintenance and repairs for the facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, all types of trade contractors (general, electrical, mechanical, etc.), custodial and outside services.
- Monitors all heating and cooling equipment on a daily basis. Provides information to Building & Grounds Supervisor when maintenance, repair or replacement is required for all systems and equipment.
- Maintains compliance with all building and fire codes and ensures compliance with all required inspections.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
