As a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer within Honeywell Space Engineering, you will be part of a team developing the Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System (CDRILS), an astronaut life support system for spacecraft, as well as other technologies that make it possible to live and breathe in space. The successful candidate will support multiple teams to develop CDRILs systems for their unique application.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role will support the design, build and test of the Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System (CDRILS) for space and terrestrial applications.

  • Design and analyze electrical systems for CDRILS and other ECLSS products

  • Work alongside technical team(s) to solve key technical problems with workable solutions in a defined period of time

  • Support proposals and technology roadmaps

U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • 6+ years’ experience in Electrical, Hardware Engineering or related

  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

  • Strong understanding of spacecraft technologies is of value.

  • Experience designing, building and testing complex electrical systems

  • Experience with high voltage power systems (440VAC, 30kW)

  • Experience being the point contact for customers

  • Team oriented; enthusiastic about working on interdisciplinary and multi-site teams

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
