As a home health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) servicing the Scottsdale and East Phoenix area, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team. Our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants deliver exceptional care to every client.

  • Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.

  • Perform patient thorough evaluations of functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, and ADL and IADL performance.

  • Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects of performance and develop individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes.

  • Evaluate home environment for hazards or barriers to more independent living.

  • Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the health, safety and independent living of the client.

  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.

Qualifications for a BAYADA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant:

  • Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in AZ

  • Must be willing to travel in assigned territory.

  • Have graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma; or

  • Have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977

  • Have at least one year of work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
