ABOUT THE ROLE

Honeywell's Electronic Solutions (ES) is a worldwide leader in the development of flight controls, displays, guidance and navigation systems and inertial instruments. The Glendale, AZ ES facility has a 40-year heritage of designing, developing, and manufacturing extremely high reliability products for manned and unmanned space applications. ES is currently seeking an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer - Bearings, with experience in bearing design, analysis and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will use their engineering experience to support design, analysis and procurement of bearings for the high reliability space business. In addition, will produce documentation to support flight programs, anomaly investigations and bearing supplier issues. Must have excellent analytical and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bearing Design and Analysis

  • Bearing Data Package Review

  • Bearing Supplier Support

  • Manufacturing Readiness Reviews

  • Production Support

  • Material Review Board Support

  • Customer Presentations

  • Bearing Lab Activities

  • Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

  • Travel: up to 15%

  • Reports to: Sr Systems Eng Manager

    US CITIZEN REQUIREMENT

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

MUST HAVE

  • 5+ year of mechanical engineering experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

WE VALUE

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience in bearing design is highly preferred

  • Ability to work independently

  • Willingness to learn new technologies

  • Creative problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office Tools
