Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in GLEN BURNIE, Maryland. Your role will involve a variety of accounting functions, including financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of billing and maintenance of accounts receivables

• Participate in the creation of operational plans in alignment with broader financial objectives

• Conduct financial analysis to guide capital investment decisions

• Support annual audit and tax preparation activities

• Maintain effective communication with both internal team members and external partners

• Drive continuous improvements in processes

• Collaborate with Corporate HR on tasks such as benefit cost analysis and employee notifications

• Ensure accurate valuation of inventories

• Provide timely and accurate financial information and performance measurements to management

• Monitor and report on variances to plans, projections, and key effectiveness measures Requirements • Candidate must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Senior Accountant.

• Demonstrated proficiency in account reconciliation is essential for this role.

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is required.

• The applicant should be adept at performing bank reconciliations.

• The ability to make accurate journal entries is a crucial requirement.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected.

• The candidate should have experience in month-end close procedures.

• Knowledge of NetSuite software is a significant advantage for this role.

• Familiarity with Oracle software is expected.

• Experience in handling accounts receivable (AR) is required.
