Robert Half Development Assistant in Glen Burnie, Maryland

Description

We are seeking a Development Assistant to join our team in the non-profit industry, located in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This role involves supporting the Development Department and Development Manager with various property renovations and administrative tasks. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Development Department and Development Manager in managing property renovations

• Ensure compliance with regulations, audits, and HUD requirements in property administration

• Organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems for efficient data management

• Handle public housing contracts, procurement, and compliance in line with affordable housing regulations

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for data management and communication purposes

• Assist in development planning and operations, ensuring all activities align with the organization's mission

• Work with landlords and manage accommodations for residents effectively

• Adhere to prevailing wage regulations for laborers and mechanics

• Ensure fair housing and fair housing law practices are upheld in all operations

• Audit compliance to maintain the highest standards of operation within the organization.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

• Familiarity with documentation procedures and practices

• Knowledge of Fair Housing and Fair Housing Law

• Experience with Prevailing Wage and HUD regulations

• Previous work in a Property Management Company would be advantageous

• Understanding of Audit Compliance and Contracts

• Experience with Low Income Tax Credit Housing (LITCH) and Senior Housing is a plus

• Skills in development planning and development operations

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection standards.
