Description We are offering a role in the Manufacturing industry, located in GLEN ALLEN, Virginia, United States. The position is for an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will focus on customer account management, including reconciliation and collections. The successful candidate will be a key contributor, capable of working independently and potentially supporting others. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities: • Conduct research and perform reconciliations on complex corporate customer accounts by gathering data and obtaining supporting documentation from various systems and sources. • Collaborate with other departments and customers to identify and resolve any discrepancies in account balances. • Propose process improvements to reduce discrepancies and reconciling items. • Participate in the proactive cleanup and maintenance of existing corporate accounts. • Develop relationships to facilitate the collection of accounts receivable and resolve any internal or external issues preventing timely payment. • Handle customer disputes until resolution, documenting root causes. • Respond to invoice inquiries, proof of delivery, and statement requests, and resolve payment discrepancies. • Review purchase orders, contracts, and other agreements to determine proper invoice and account setup. • Assist in making decisions on escalations and collectability of accounts, recommending write-offs or legal actions when necessary. • Actively participate and communicate in team-based work groups. • Use Microsoft D365 or similar accounting software to interpret customer financial statements and reconcile customer accounts. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable function within the Chemical Manufacturing industry is essential.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is required.

• Experience with Billing processes and Rejection Reports is mandatory.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other functions necessary for data analysis.

• Strong understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

• Ability to accurately process numerical data and financial information.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

• Solid problem-solving skills and ability to analyze discrepancies in financial entries.

• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

• Excellent data entry skills and ability to handle high-volume workload.

• Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast-paced environment.

• Ethical behavior and ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
