Citigroup Strategic Ledger Data Governance & Enterprise Capabilities Sr. Analyst in Getzville, New York

The Data Governance team is responsible for the implementation of enhancements to Citi’s Data Operating Model (DOM) in relation to data consumed or produced by the Controllers organization. The team is responsible for understanding the concerns of the stakeholders within the Controllers organization relative to data quality and availability to assess required solutions to address those issues ensuring to coordinate closely with both internal and external stakeholders. They are engaged in efforts to remediate the issues through engagement with resolution teams, bridging the gap between the technology teams and the business teams. The focus will be to satisfy the data needs of the Controllers organization with data that is high quality and fit for purpose. This role will be accountable for supporting the Data Management, for the Strategic Ledger implementation program, with a specific focus on Data Governance & Enterprise Capabilities.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions,

Communicate with Program Management team and other workstream analysts to ensure consistent communication and execution for data governance across the program

Support all strategic ledger program project plans for data governance to track progress

Participate in data architecture development and design decisions impacting data governance

Coordinate the implementation of data provider capabilities necessary for Citi Data Governance (CDGP) compliance, including documentation of metadata and data lineage

Support data conversion deliverables to ensure consistent application of CDGP and alignment to data quality principles

Assist with the development of risk reduction metrics and define mechanisms for calculation to evidence improvements through the progression of the data program

Support the implementation of data management initiatives across Citi to ensure the needs of Controllers are met and that the data is fit for purpose.

Contribute to development and maintenance of data lineage, process maps, data concepts and glossaries

Participate in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications

Resolve complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes.

Manage one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural "expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.

May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees.

Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Management or related field is required.

5-8+ years working in the financial services industry, financial data management, or financial data remediation is preferred

Excellent relational and communication skills

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across teams, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or other advanced degree is a plus.

Experience with Oracle ledger implementations is a plus

Knowledge of data governance capabilities and platforms (e.g., Collibra, OFM, Solidatus, etc.) is a plus

Experience supporting transformation projects and organizational change initiatives a plus

Experience with controller functions, financial books & records, and/or regulatory reporting is a plus

Experience in data governance programs with knowledge of data governance principles and practices is a plus

Practical experience of data management, data remediation, front to back system data flows, data handling, transmission, aggregation and/or data modelling is a plus

$77,280.00 - $115,920.00
