Citigroup Market Risk Data Lead Analyst VP (hybrid) in Getzville, New York

The Market Risk Data Lead Analyst is a seasoned professional role focusing on supporting CVA risk data used by risk management professionals charged with oversight of the firm’s trading business. This role is globally focused and interfaces with both internal and external partners domestically and internationally. The Risk Reporting Officer will be part of the Risk Control & Data Analytics team supporting Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) is responsible for data production and data stewardship. This role will focus on data stewardship and be responsible for overseeing one or more of the following:

  • Issue Identification, Escalation and Remediation Management

  • Key Performance Indicators and Metrics Management

  • Project & Initiatives Management

  • Governance and Oversight Management

Responsibilities:

  • Through the function managed, directly leads efforts to provide accurate, completeness, timely and reliable risk data to customers, partners, shareholders and regulators, grounded in developing and instituting the most efficient processes and critical deliverables.

  • Leads in defining and establishing appropriate CVA data metrics and KPIs, understanding the data needs of regulatory and internal reporting, the acquisition of that data, the financial reconciliation and Data Quality measurement of that data and remediation of issues at source.

  • Prepare and conduct presentations directed to upper management regarding various statistics, updates on data quality issues, and points for escalation

  • Deliver regular and time-sensitive ad-hoc deliverables as part of the requirements needed by regulators, compliance, and senior management

  • Leverage and maintain relationships across varying functions and levels of management to ensure strong partnership with data officers, data consumers and technology owners

  • Works with technology to ensure system enhancements are aligned with the needs of management reporting.

  • Supports management with preparation of materials tracking automation progress.

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Data Quality analysis (experience in Risk and/or Finance is a plus)

  • Strong data analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to manage end-to-end cycle of data quality issues while navigating through various systems

  • Proven ability to be attentive to details and provide in-depth analysis to clearly define and interpret data quality issues

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills while working with counterparts in different areas and maintaining strong collaboration to build partnerships

  • Effective time management skills to anticipate and balance the team’s deliverables with the needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Highly experienced with Excel, VBA, SQL / programming

  • Experience in Tableau is a plus, but not required

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$100,800.00 - $151,200.00
