Description:

  • The MRI Technologist reports to and is evaluated by the Diagnostic Supervisor and the Director of Medical Imaging Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans for the diagnosis of disease

  • Accountable for performing high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans for the diagnosis of disease on a daily basis.

  • Assures proper and professional care of the patient while in Medical Imaging Department. Accountable for performing under the direction of a radiologist, all examinations of a technical and diagnostic nature.

  • Constant mental attention is required while performing studies. Must demonstrate the capability of maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships consistent with the Holy Cross Mission.

  • Accountable for the operation of the magnetic resonance imaging unit, to make images of designated areas of the body under the supervision of the Radiologist.

  • Assists in diagnostic imaging when needed, to perform quality diagnostic images. Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization-related information.

  • Adheres to standard precautions. Maintains current CPR, Maryland State License and ARRT certification.

  • Conduct studies on neonates, infants, pediatric, young adults, middle adults, late adults.

What you will need:

  • Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT (R) and Magnetic Resonance MR (R) or Registry eligible.

  • Licensed by the State of Maryland.

  • CPR Certified (through American Heart Association)

  • One-year experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging & Diagnostic Radiology preferred

Pay Range: $37.18 – $55.77

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
