Job Summary

Technical expert who partners with business analysts and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews. Responsible for analyzing and translating business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Defines, designs, and oversees the systems and applications architecture for both current and future business applications.

  • Evaluates new and emerging technologies and developmental methodologies to find faster, cost effective, and more reliable solutions for existing and proposed systems.

  • Partners with infrastructure, application, and quality teams to ensure that applications meet business requirements, are well documented, and have processes in place for ongoing support and maintenance.

  • Scopes and implements appropriate process improvement tools and techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean Sigma, and ITIL.

  • Drives standard and efficient applications and infrastructure design by aligning the infrastructure roadmap with the application technology strategy, hardware vendor roadmaps, and service capabilities.

  • Assists in identification of emerging technologies that could have a positive impact on the organization; helps evaluate strategic fit.

  • Contributes to technology strategy through consulting support: driving requirements gathering, collection of existing deployment plans, synthesis of business goals, and operating strategies.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location and/or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years proven experience as an Architect in the finance domain or in a similar role - REQUIRED.

  • 7+ years proven experience designing solutions spanning finance domain including processes, applications, data, and technology - REQUIRED.

  • 7+ years of Oracle Applications Financial Module - REQUIRED

  • 7+ years of experience designing and implementing OIC and file-based integrations with Oracle - REQUIRED.

  • Strong knowledge of working with integrated applications - REQUIRED.

  • Database experience (SQL, Oracle) - REQUIRED.

  • Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines preferred - REQUIRED.

  • Track record of building solid and effective working relationships and trust of IT leaders.

  • Experience in a distributed team environment preferred.

  • Coupa Spend Management System experience preferred.

  • OneStream EPM system experience preferred.

  • FIS Treasury Management System experience preferred.
