JOB TITLE: SPORTSPLEX ATTENDANT TEAM: SUPPORT STAFF REPORTS TO: SPORTSPLEX DIRECTOR and ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT SALARY: $15.00 HOURLY SCHEDULE: VARIES DEPENDING ON AVAILABILTY and TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE Hours of Operation: Mon-Fri 4pm-10pm, Sat-Sun 7am-10pm

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for Sportsplex Attendants that are 18 years or older, and have a passion for excellence and delivering exceptional service to all customers. If you enjoy a fun and fast paced work environment, then this is the job for you. Westinghouse Sportsplex is a sports complex consisting of an indoor sports facility, 4 baseball/softball fields, and 2 soccer fields. Monday-Friday from 4pm-10pm of each week (summer hours will vary) we will have local athletic organizations that will be leasing our indoor and outdoor facilities. During this time, we are looking to have 2-4 staff members on site to provide exceptional service to all organizations. Approximately 38 weekends per year we will be hosting baseball, softball, soccer, and lacrosse tournaments at our facility. On tournament weekends the hours of operation will vary depending on the size of the tournament. Generally, on these days the hours of operation will range from 7am-10pm. During this time, we are looking to have 6-8 staff members, on site, helping to ensure that every customer leaves with a smile on their face. Our goal is to create a fun loving, high energy, flexible, and casual work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Serve food and beverages to guest through our concession stand.
  • Thoroughly clean location.
  • Cashiering duties, stocks, cleans, and maintains facility and equipment.
  • Follows safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
  • Refill water coolers throughout the day for occupying teams.
  • Complete field maintenance between games and practices.
  • Answer phone calls to schedule field or batting cage rentals, collect payments, and answer any question about the facility.
  • Complete other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • Prefer athletic background.
  • Prefer working knowledge of kitchen, concession, cash register operations.
  • Skilled in the basic computer operation and inventory controls.
  • Knowledgeable in basic arithmetic operations.

Education/Certification:

  • Potentially obtain a food handler certification required by Texas Department of Health.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

  • Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing (ladder), moderate lifting and carrying; moderate exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
