Aerotek Cnc Lathe Machinist in Georgetown, Texas
Description
The position of CNC Lathe Machinist/Operator fabricates parts and assemblies from raw materials to finished products in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate CNC lathes and mills. • Read blueprints to determine product specifications. • Measure/inspect parts to determine accuracy, using height gage, calipers, micrometers, CMM, or other measuring instruments to ensure conformity throughout the manufacturing process. • Experience with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing. • Remove burrs and sharp edges from parts. • Assemble parts using conventional and non-conventional hardware and tools. • Monitor and adjust or replace tooling when necessary. • Document actions taken on manufacturing orders. • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and shop equipment. • Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and code of ethical conduct. • Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
US Citizen English proficiency High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years on the job training operating CNC equipment. • Experience in machining and understanding the physical characteristics of differing materials such as but not limited to Stainless Steels, Aluminums, Coppers, Brass, Plastics and Non-Metal related materials. • Preference given candidates that know 2-axis and 3-axis Haas machines. 4 axis milling experience considered a bonus. • Familiar with shop safety. • Strong mathematical aptitude and computer skills.
