Ogaard Farms Agricultural Equipment Operator in Georgetown, Minnesota
Need 7 full time, temporary, seasonal Agricultural Equipment Operators to work at multiple locations in Clay county in MN and in Cass county in ND. From: 3/25/2025 - 10/09/2025 Work: 65 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 10+ hrs./day Minimum Wage Offer: Work performed in MN - $18.15/hour Work performed in ND - $19.21/hour In Minnesota only: all work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Pay increase or bonus may be possible based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 07/3/2025 JOB DUTIES: Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; work ground; and plant, irrigate, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, transport crops to elevator or storage area, and baling hay. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, sprayers, combines, backhoes, mowers, track hoes, ATVs/side by sides, telehandlers, diggers-field cultivators, beet harvester, beet topper, large square baler, discbine, swather, and bale stacker. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Duties include manual labor such as welding; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, barns and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment including grain augers; regularly servicing equipment; changing combine cutting heads; mowing and landscaping on the farm; and lifting various items as needed. Employees will also be receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often, and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum (3) months experience; able to obtain driver's license within 15 days of hire; Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, or walking.; no minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
