This Staff Accountant position is for candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. To thrive in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Responsibilities

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll Requirements - Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Proficient in ERP systems

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Excel Formulas experience required

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Strong familiarity with month end closings

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Great attention to detail
