Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Georgetown, Kentucky. This role primarily involves managing financial procedures within our organization. This includes processing customer applications, ensuring accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain detailed, up-to-date customer credit records

• Manage and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer accounts and take action when necessary

• Support in the execution of month-end close procedures

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger

• Prepare and post journal entries as required

• Leverage your Excel skills to optimize financial processes

• Utilize Lawson for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is required

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Familiarity with the General Ledger is a must

• Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries is required

• Applicant must be skilled in executing Month End Close procedures
