Aerotek General Production Worker in Geneva, Illinois

Production Worker

$19++/hour

St Charles, Illinois

Job description:

  • Support production by cleaning production areas and general shop areas, cleaning tools, taking out garbage, and setting up cells.

  • Assemble products.

  • Operate machines, which may include automatic and manual chuckers, CNC lathes, vertical mills, multi-press, reamer/drill taps, testers, paint booth, and forklift.

  • Maintain safety and quality standards.

  • Ensure production flow and operations are maintained.

  • Keep the working environment safe and clean.

  • Work productively and professionally with various teammates.

  • Engage in daily improvement work by sharing observations and ideas.

  • Perform janitorial duties as needed and maintain a positive attitude at all times.

Schedule & Wage :

1st shift Hours: 7:00 am--3:30 pm M-F

Work Environment :

Established in 1938, we are a leader in manufacturing compression fittings and risers for the natural gas industry. The work is conducted in a small machine shop with six machines and a paint line. While the facility is not heated, it does have air conditioning. The environment has an oil smell and involves working with acetone for sealant assembly lines. The machinery is older, and the facility is smaller. The dress code requires a work shirt, jeans, and steel-toe shoes. The shift is from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with voluntary overtime currently amounting to 50+ hours a week due to new business.
