Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Description

Deliver job responsibilities following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Perform tasks that are very routine or well-defined, with specific instructions to achieve standardized solutions. Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures. Detect errors using verifying procedures and make changes as instructed. Transcribe data from source material into computer-compatible format. Exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills. Proofread and edit own work and exercise judgment in determining letter and report formats. Maintain records of data input. Provide key support for functional groups, including performing a wide variety of specialized clerical functions involving compiling and arranging data, making computations, laying out and preparing reports, processing and coding documents, and maintaining specialized and comprehensive records and filing. Make standard calculations to accurately compile and report statistics. Gather, compile, and verify information and enter it accurately into documents such as reports, presentations, or forms; and office systems such as databases or spreadsheets. Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Geismar, Louisiana.

Work Environment

Work with three Shipping & Receiving clerks and two managers sitting in the warehouse office, coordinating orders and shipments for incoming and outgoing. Willing to train; candidate can be entry-level.
