HMT Tank Industrial Radiographer - Level II in Geismar, Louisiana

Weld Spec/HMT has an immediate opening for an Industrial Radiographer – Level II local to the Geismar, LA area. Join our team and be recognized for your work in a great environment!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gamma radiography tests in accordance with written company procedures

  • Prepare test specimens, setup, and adjust test equipment

  • Experience utilizing industry specifications such as: ASME, API, and AWS with testing codes and standards and possess the ability to interpret codes and specifications

  • Ability to accurately analyze and interpret test data with the ability to report the test results in a clear and well written manner

  • Organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to document NDT results well

  • Maintain related test equipment and tools in good working condition

  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner

  • Provide insight on technique development

  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety

  • Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility, and customers, while working in team environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED

  • RT certified with documented ASNT Level I and Level II classroom hours and documented OJT (on the job training) hours

  • Approved 40-hour Radiation Safety

  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)

  • DISA certified (background, drug, alcohol)

  • State issued driver license with a clean driving record

  • Self‐motivated with good written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, & Excel)

  • Able to generate basic drawings / sketches

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position as mentioned below

Physical & Mental Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, climb, carry, push/pulling and use repetitive wrist and hand movements. The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 50 pounds. It is required to be mentally alert for the entire shift.

Applicants will also have to pass Weld Spec NDE testing per ASNT TC 1A and verify prior documentation of certifications.
