Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Michael Foods, Inc. located in Gaylord, Minnesota is Minnesota's Healthy Heartland! Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Position is responsible for reworking product by opening cartons/bags, weighing, sorting, re-casing, relabeling, coding and palletizing. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains all rework stations, pull product to be reworked and complete all required paperwork and compare product codes to match production schedules. Ensure Rework floors are clean of debris and waste and sanitation of work stations as necessary. Fill in for other Line Workers on breaks and when out on PTO. PIT experience or able to train to move product pallets and totes with forklift/mule. Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe production work area. Fosters open communications and a good attitude toward work and fellow employees. Maintains regular and consistent attendance. Ability to do repetitive lifting of product cases, assembly of boxes and insertion of bags. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained by reporting to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of all MFI products. Adhere to all employee safe work practices and complete all safety trainings, policies and procedures. Ability to work in refrigerated temperatures to complete sorting. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, speak simple sentences and communicate through email. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Good Hand to Eye Coordination. Successful completion of yearly LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), Chemical and PIT Training
