  Summary:

The Health Information Clerk provides clerical support by answering incoming phone calls, facilitating medical record requests, retrieves medical records from patient care areas and performs record processing duties such as prepping and scanning of medical records. Assists with processing birth and death certificates. Birth certificate completion only applies to the following hospitals: Cadillac, Charlevoix, Grayling and Munson Medical Center.

  What’s Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

  Preferred:

• Secondary level courses in medical or business programs are preferred.

• One year clerical experience preferably in healthcare .
