CaroMont Health Assistant Pharmacy Operations Manager in Gastonia, North Carolina
Job Summary: To serve as the assistant to the Pharmacy Operations Manager. To perform the diversified duties required to assist the Pharmacy Operations Manager with the supervision and operation of the Department of Pharmacy. Ensure staff accountability with policies and procedures; assist in the planning, implementation, and management of the activities of personnel engaged in all aspects of drug use control. Ensure regulatory compliance related to medication storage, use, and the preparation of non-sterile and sterile compounds. Serve as an effective Pharmacy liaison to the Medical and Nursing staff. To provide patient-focused pharmacy services.
Qualifications: BS in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from a recognized college or university and current N.C. license required. PGY1 Pharmacy residency or at least 3 years pharmacy experience required . PGY2 in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership, Masters degree in Management, Administration, or related field, and/or Board certification in Compounded Sterile Preparations preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills, Considerable ability to manage, train, and motivate people. Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies. Ability to perform pharmacist and pharmacy technician competency skills with high level efficiency. BLS and ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire. Maintains PALS certification if required by specialty within 90 days of hire. Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
