THIS IS A 2nd SHIFT POSITION: Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM EST

About the Team: The ZF Garrett team supports packaging and light assembly of braking, electronics, and steering products for automotive service distribution. The Production Supervisor will manage 25-30+ employees within the packaging and assembly areas. The role is collaborative and will work with two team leads to manage the areas while also working closely with other cross functional team members (including Maintenance, Quality, Lean, Packaging Engineer, HR, and HSE) to drive continuous improvement. A key to success for this role is strong mentoring skills, involved presence on the floor, intermediate comfort level with a PC, and the ability to multi-task/prioritize while still coaching the team to meet targets.

What you can look forward to as a Production Supervisor:

  • Manage production output based on established rates and goals

  • Assessing staffing and material levels

  • Maintain accurate records within the inventory management system

  • Implement and maintain compliance to company policies or procedures and enforcement of such through corrective disciplinary action

  • Provide on the job training to manufacturing team members and assigning tasks

  • Lead and develop Operations team

  • Participate and/or lead continuous improvement projects

  • Lead and support corrective actions for quality concerns

  • Utilize and track key performance indicators and other operational metrics

Your Profile as a Production Supervisor:

  • Associate Degree in Industrial Management or related preferred, experience in lieu of degree will be considered

  • Supervision experience, and background working on a shop floor in a "hands on" capacity

  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office experience (excel, teams, outlook, word)

  • MRP/ERP, SAP or BPCS experience preferred

  • Forklift driving experience preferred

  • Knowledge of quality systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO 140001

  • Familiar with Process Sheets, Bills of Material and Picklists

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
