The ZF Garrett teamsupportspackaging and light assembly ofbraking, electronics, and steering products forautomotiveservice distribution. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will beresponsiblefor performing PM's, completing work orders, creating purchase requisitions for MRO items, and work with outside suppliers to service the facility.

THIS POSITION IS FOR THE 2ND SHIFT (2:00 PM TO 10:00 PM EST) IN GARRETT, INDIANA. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2ND SHIFT, AS WELL AS FOR OVERTIME, WEEKENDS, AND HOLIDAYS AS NEEDED.

What you can look forward to as a Facilities Maintenance Technician

• Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance activities on time and document in database.

• Performs routine and ad-hoc project work (replacing damaged racking, changing out packing stations) while maintaining the project log.

• Assesses and assists in the repair of minor mechanical and electrical repairs (eg. Replacing ballasts and lamps, replacing switches, bearings, tape machines, banders)

• Perform HVAC maintenance such as replacement of filters, grease bearings, power wash condenser coils, dampers)

• Purchase MRO items for the plant.

• Perform industrial wiring and know/follow all OHSA safety regulations (training can be provided).

• Participate in cross functional team meetings and continuous improvement projects.

Your Profile as a Facilities Maintenance Technician

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience performing maintenance duties.

• Ability to service tape machines, banders, auto bag and assembly equipment.

• Safety oriented.

• Troubleshooting skills.

• Communication and interpersonal skills.
