Adecco is Now Hiring General Labor in Garland Tx.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

  • Pay Rate: $15 an hour

Job Summary:

A general laborer's primary role is to manually move freight, stock, and materials or perform other unskilled labor tasks. This position requires physical effort and may involve the use of basic tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attach identifying tags or labels to containers, or mark them with necessary information.

  • Follow work orders or receive oral instructions to determine assignments, materials, and equipment needed.

  • Track the number of units handled and moved using daily production sheets or work tickets.

  • Transport freight, stock, and materials between storage areas, production zones, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, either manually or with equipment like trucks and tractors.

  • Sort and organize cargo for efficient loading and unloading.

  • Assemble product containers and crates using hand tools and precut lumber.

  • Load and unload cargo from ships using winches and hoisting devices.

  • Pack and re-pack containers, ensuring damaged ones are properly repaired.

  • Retrieve and return tools and supplies to storage or trucks as needed.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze and solve problems.

  • Ability to work well in a team and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with relevant equipment, policies, and procedures to ensure effective operations and promote safety and security.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Duties include moving bottles from large containers into smaller quarter pallet display boxes.

  • No forklift experience is required.

  • Steel-toed shoes are mandatory.

Pay Details: $15.00 per hour
