Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the construction/contractor industry located in Garden Grove, California, 92841, United States. The Sr. Accountant will play a vital role in managing the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the generation of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Manage and maintain records and receipts, ensuring every transaction is accurately recorded.

• Identify and reconcile discrepancies or errors by reviewing statements and checking the accuracy of business transactions.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.

• Track bank deposit activity, post daily receipts, and prepare invoices.

• Assist in the development of budgetary and accounting policies.

• Prepare necessary documentation for audits, taxation, or similar financial activities.

• Maintain an organized system of accounting books, records, files, and documents.

• Utilize various accounting software and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.

• Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and journal entries as part of month-end close procedures. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
