POSITION SUMMARY

The Benefits Administrator supports the administrative needs of the Finance Department, focused on benefits administration. In addition, the Benefits Administrator provides a high level of customer service to employees, new hires, vendors and third party administrators to ensure their needs are met.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries in a timely manner.Provide information as needed to ensure users understand options to make informed decisions, and elevate complex issues as necessary.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of assigned transactions which may include but are not limited to enrollments, terminations, status changes, and 401k.

  • Establish and maintain accurate and appropriate records to ensure data integrity, currency and compliance.

  • Follow appropriate policies and procedures to assure that Southland maintains compliance with all state and federal laws.

What you bring to the table:

  • Intermediate-level knowledge of employee benefits.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organization skills with high level of attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Able to analyze and resolve basic issues.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and work within a collaborative team.

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with intermediate level ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. required.

  • Able to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Two (2) + years of Benefits Administration or related experience required.

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

  • CBP or CEBS preferred.

Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California this ranges from $23.00/hour-$27.00/hour plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program as outlined above.
