Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, based in GARDEN CITY, New York. This role involves administering and maintaining hybrid database environments in a complex setting, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the optimization and troubleshooting of database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

• Design and implement scalable database solutions to support both OLTP and OLAP workloads.

• Develop and uphold database security best practices, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Take charge of the database backup, restoration, and archival strategies.

• Automate database management tasks using scripting and DevOps methodologies.

• Collaborate with development teams to design efficient data models and optimize queries.

• Conduct database capacity planning and implement proactive monitoring solutions.

• Support integration and ELT processes, ensuring efficient data flow across systems.

• Stay up to date with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.

• Administer and maintain hybrid database environments, including SQL Server on-premises, Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and Fabric Databases. Requirements • Proven experience of 7 or more years in the role of a Database Administrator or similar.

• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory.

• Proficient in Azure SQL Database management.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is essential.

• Solid understanding and experience with ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes.

• Knowledge and experience implementing HIPAA Compliance Systems.

• Advanced skills in Database Administration.

• Extensive experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).

• Proficiency in Azure Data Lake is required.
