Sodexo Patient Transport Operations Manager 2 in GALVESTON, Texas

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Transport Operations Manager 2 , to work within our Patient Transport department at UTMB Galveston. This position will oversee the Patient Transportation department and ensure compliance at 3 campuses. Position may require local travel to accounts and clinics in the area. The Operations Manager will support 3 units (Galveston, League City and Clear Lake campuses) within The University of Texas Medical Branch – UTMB Galveston.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a large team of 75 employees and 5 supervisors across 3 locations to effectively maintain and inspect patient transport operations, including equipment, as well as related logistics, documentation and reporting;

  • Create a positive patient experience by setting the tone and culture of patient expectations and satisfaction

  • Respond to and/or managing calls through the Service Response Center;

  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff;

  • Work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director;

  • Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.

What You Bring

  • experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving compliance to HCAHPS, and Joint Commission.

  • knowledge of patient care services in a healthcare setting;

  • SRC or call center knowledge;

  • in depth knowledge of quality control systems such as EPIC

  • a basic understanding of EVS and Housekeeping services;

  • experience with vendor and contract management;

  • the ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization

  • experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines;

  • a high level of proficiency with computers and other technology;

  • strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance

  • 3-5 years previous operations management experience in soft facility services, such as patient transport or Service Response Center experience in a hospital or healthcare environment

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degreeor equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 yearswork experience in functional areas such as call center technology, computer applications, process improvement, or related areas
