Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

  • Pay: From $18-25 per hour

Shift- 1st 8am-5pm flexible on in and out time

What’s a typical day as a Wire Technician? You’ll be:

• Installing components and wiring of low and medium voltage switchgear according to electrical drawings, diagrams, and specifications

• Interpreting blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documents to plan wiring layouts

• Measuring, cutting, and installing wires using hand tools and measuring instruments

• Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, ensuring proper electrical connections

• Conducting tests on wiring to ensure proper functionality and troubleshooting any issues that arise during installation

• Inspecting, cleaning, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and components as needed

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards

• Performing other duties as assigned

• Have mechanical knowledge and electrical experience

• Possess a high school diploma or GED

• Are deadline and detail-oriented

• Have strong verbal and written communication skills

• Are a critical thinker

• Can multi-task and work at a fast pace

• Have experience with hand/power tools

• Can read electrical schematics and layout drawings

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, both as part of a team and individually

• Can collaborate with other shop technicians and fabricators to achieve objectives or create improvements to processes and procedures

• Can maintain confidential information
