Job Description

passengers in a variety of seating options, from economy to first class.

Design coordination of seats and seat components. Coordinates changes with other internal company departments, vendors, and customers. Work assignments are delegated from Team Supervisor/Mamager and direct supervision is provided to ensure work packages are completed to meet requirements. This position requires direct oversight by Supervisor or Manager

Authorities:

This position has no authority or right to control or command DE I activities or ensure compliance to the applicable defined company Design Engineering Dept 670 policies, processes, practices and the defined objectives.

Main Function Responsibilities

List the current duties and responsibilities each which account for more than 5-10% of the incumbent's time or are critical to the successful performance of the job

A) Reviews specification as related to assigned job.

B) Prepares check list.

C) Prepares lay-outs.

D) Prepares structural sub-assemblies and drawings.

E) Prepares sketches for details.

F) Reviews drawing package to assure conformance to requirements.

G) Submits completed drawings to project lead for approval and release.

H) Liaison for assigned task.

I) Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

A. Education & Qualification List the Scholarship degree, type, etc. i.e.:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.

B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge • (Acquired through previous jobs, assignments, responsibilities, etc. including language capabilities.) i.e.:

• Plus 1 year related design experience preferred.

A. Professional Skills • (Ability to use the knowledge and/or the experience in the job) i.e.:

• Drafting skills in CATIA V5 (or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer preferred.

• Must be able to provide complicated lay-outs and program design studies.

• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.

Complementary Description

• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.

• Ability to read and review written communication.

• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

A. Behavioral Skills (Based on this list, please describe the skills which are essential, necessary and useful to perform well in the job) i.e.:

• Must be able to interact successfully with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing departments.

• Must be able to function as part of a design team.

B. Desirable Aspects (Items as a plus for the position) i.e.::

• APQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plan, Problem Solving (8D, 5W2H)

• CATIA V.5 preferred but not required

• This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job
