Job Description:

Acts as a liaison with Principal Investigators to ensure the completion of Open Data plans and submission of datasets to the Harvard Dataverse system. Responsible for submitting finalized datasets to the USAID Development Data Library. Ensures the safety, privacy, and accuracy of research data by maintaining organized and accessible records for future reference. The employee must utilize a wide latitude of independent judgment regarding ensuring the datasets align with USAID policies.

Supports the M&E specialist with the semi-annual and annual donor reporting process by coordinating the collection of reporting data. Organizes, reviews, and ensures completeness and accuracy of project activity data submitted by 30+ Principal Investigators in Piestar. Enters finalized data into USAID’s research rack-up system or other reporting platforms and assists in the preparation of other M&E files (such as location data and indicator tracking files) submitted for donor reporting.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of Piestar, LSIL’s research management platform, including arranging reporting sessions, assigning modules, and fielding user questions.

Supports the M&E specialist in compiling and organizing data gathered through evaluation studies of LSIL-funded research activities.

Performs related duties as required or deemed appropriate to accomplish the responsibilities and functions of his/her area.

Expected Salary:

$50,000 - $60,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area.

  • Expertise in handling quantitative datasets, including data cleaning and analysis.

  • Experience with donor-funded projects, preferably USAID.

  • Experience in report writing.
