Landmark Recovery Peer Support Specialist in Fulton, Missouri

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The Certified Peer Support Specialist will provide vital support to | | individuals participating in drug court and family treatment court | | programs. This role involves offering peer support services to help | | individuals navigate their recovery journey and providing family | | supervision services to assist in creating a stable and supportive | | environment for families involved in the family treatment court | | program. Key Responsibilities: | | | | 1. Peer Support Services for Drug Court Participants: | | | | - Individual Support: Engage with drug court participants to | | offer emotional support, encouragement, and practical advice | | based on personal experience and training. | | - Goal Setting: Assist participants in setting and achieving | | personal recovery goals, including maintaining sobriety, managing | | triggers, and developing coping strategies. | | - Resource Navigation: Help participants access community | | resources, treatment programs, and support groups that can aid in | | their recovery process. | | - Motivational Support: Provide motivation and accountability, | | encouraging participants to adhere to court requirements and | | treatment plans. | | - Group Facilitation: Lead or co-facilitate support groups for | | drug court participants, fostering a supportive and collaborative | | environment. | | | | 2. Family Supervision Services for Family Treatment Court | | Participants: | | | | - Family Support: Offer guidance and support to families | | involved in the family treatment court, addressing challenges | | related to substance use and family dynamics. | | - Supervision: Monitor family progress and compliance with | | court-ordered plans, including parenting classes, therapy | | sessions, and treatment milestones. | | - Family Engagement: Facilitate family meetings and sessions to | | strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, and enhance family | | cohesion. | | - Reporting: Document and report on family progress, | | challenges, and compliance to the family treatment court and | | other relevant stakeholders. | | - Resource Coordination: Connect families with appropriate | | resources and services, including counseling, educational | | programs, and support networks. | | | | Requirements: | | | | - High school diploma or equivalent. | | - Certification as a Peer Support Specialist (Employer will assist | | and pay for certification.) | | - Class E Drivers License (Employer will assist in obtaining.) | | - Personal experience with substance use recovery or mental health | | challenges and a d monstrated ability to support others in | | similar situations. | | - Excellent interpersonal communication skills. | | - Ability to empathize with and relate to clients. | | - Strong organization and time management abilities. | | - Understanding of recovery principles, peer support practices, and | | community resources. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
