Sodexo is seeking an experienced Environment Services/Custodial Manager 1 to provide leadership at Warren County Public Schools in Front Royal, Virginia. Warren County Public Schools provides a quality educational opportunity for all students to achieve their highest academic learning potential, develop positive core values reflective of our community, and be prepared for higher education and/or the workforce.The custodial services consist of nine (9) schools, one (1) alternative school, (1) technical center, and three (3) administrative offices, for a total of 14 facilities (approx. 1.2 million square feet).

Our Sodexo Environmental Services/Custodial teams work to direct custodial operations at Schools/k-12 client locations, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions. These teams also have responsibility for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of staff, as well as follow-through with action items that impact both client and student satisfaction. This Manager will be responsible for execution and delivery of work order flow, custodial equipment inventory, coaching and training and customer satisfaction. The ability to multitask, and handle multiple priorities is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will:

• provide a clean and safe environment for students, faculty, visitors and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance;

• coordinate/conduct employee training;

• administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.);

• interact with outside vendors;

• ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met;

• effectively provide leadership and direction to custodial staff; and/or

• support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

• have experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system;

• are results and safety driven;

• have in-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures;

• have previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience;

• have financial acumen and budget management experience;

• have a drivers license;

• can multi-task and set priorities; and/or

• are proficient with computers and other technology.
