Position Objective: To assist the Parks & Recreation Department with summer programming, including lesson planning, summer camps, evening sports, outdoor programs, field trips, and special events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist with Parks & Recreation program planning, marketing, scheduling, supervision, and customer/program evaluations. 2. Deliver youth programming including summer day camps, sports, community outreach, field trips, and special events at a variety of Fridley Parks ad Springbrook Nature Center. 3. Develop lesson plans, curriculum, and special event plans for youth programs. 4. Assist with training and work direction for seasonal staff. 5. Lead curriculum development throughout the season. 6. Assist with promotion of department programs and activities. 7. Assist in administrative tasks (email, mailings, phone, etc.) including seasonal staff time entry and scheduling. 8. Interact and provide excellent customer service to the public, participants, and staff. 9. Assist the Parks & Recreation Department with various activities, as needed.
