SUMMARY

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, Philanthropy Services, the Philanthropy Services Coordinator is a member of the major gifts team who manages successful operation of a comprehensive stewardship program that involves the leadership team, board members, donors, and key volunteers. The person in this role is responsible for managing high level activities in a multifaceted and fast paced environment, providing high-level administrative and project support. This role will work independently and collaboratively on special projects and ongoing strategies to grow the major gifts program and support the overall strategic plan of Philanthropy Services and their fundraising efforts.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor's degree required.

  2. Minimum two (2) years of experience in fundraising or an equivalent client-focused environment.

  3. Prior experience with donor databases and prospect tracking systems (Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/CRM is preferred).

  4. High level of computer literacy with knowledge of word processing, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs are required.

  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, good mathematical skills, and the ability to multi-task in a busy, deadline focused environment, along with a desire to efficiently improve standard work and processes is required.

  6. Experience in planning and executing meetings and both fundraising and cultivation events.

  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal and financial information is essential.

  8. Must be comfortable in a clinical setting, interacting with patients at various stages of care.

  9. Creativity, curiosity, sense of humor, high energy level, and an enthusiasm for meeting and working with a wide range of individuals in a supportive teamwork environment.

  10. Passion for the mission, flexibility, and willingness to work with energy to accomplish stated goals are desired.
