Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily custodial activities for city-owned facilities.

  • Train, evaluate, and manage the performance of custodial staff.

  • Ensure adherence to cleanliness standards, department rules, and safety procedures.

  • Conduct facility inspections and prepare reports for necessary improvements.

  • Oversee inventory management and order custodial supplies and equipment.

  • Respond to public inquiries and resolve custodial-related issues.

  • Maintain and inspect cleaning equipment for safe operation.

  • Participate in and manage cleaning projects as needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Duties and schedules may vary by assignment, please inquire about specific duties and/or schedules if called upon for an interview. Incumbents may be required to work any shift; nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Night shift premium pay provided if scheduled.

[The current vacancies exist in the Airports Department. However, this classification also exists in the Transportation Department. Immediate and future vacancies will be filled from this eligible list for a period of six (3) months from the date the eligible list is created, with the option of extending that period at the City's discretion. If the examination process is suspended for this recruitment, the eligible list may be limited to three (3) months.
