Zach Robertson "Recruiting Manager" at Robert Half is looking for a talented accounting manager to work with a thriving company as an Accounting Manager. This is a successful Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods organization that will recognize your efforts. This position is for candidates who can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. The ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations will be essential for this role. This Accounting Manager role is a permanent employment opportunity, based in the Fresno, California area.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

• Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

• Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

• Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met

• Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

• Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  Requirements

• Solid understanding of month end closings

• General ledger experience preferred

• Deep understanding of financial statement preparation

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience

• CPA or MBA preferred

• Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

• Solid technology and analytical abilities

• Customer service oriented communication skills
