Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performs routine accounting tasks for financial statistics and records maintenance.

• Processes bills and invoices; data input for payment requests and purchase orders.

• Maintains expenditure records and allocates costs to appropriate accounts.

• Prepares financial statements, journals, and general ledgers.

• Collects payments, balances cash drawers, and prepares deposits.

• Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Manages correspondence, records, and document files.

• Assists with departmental payroll and time card management.

• Inventories and orders office supplies.

• Operates standard office equipment and coin counting machines.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties may vary by department, please inquire about specific duties if called upon for an interview. Incumbents assigned to the Animal Center may be required to handle and restrain animals humanely and safely using approved protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) and practices including assisting in cleaning and disinfecting kennel areas, food dishes and equipment along with feeding and exercising animals.
